Speed Control Based on Adaptive Fuzzy Logic Controller For AC-DC Converter Fed DC Motor Drives

This paper presents fuzzy logic control (FLC) based speed control system for a DC Motor drive through the use of Genetic optimization. The control system design and implementation procedures of DC motor drive using Digital Signal Processor are described. Results of simulation and experimental on the real control system demonstrated that the proposed FLC is able to overcome the disadvantage of use PI controller. Also, the results obtained have shown the feasibility and effectiveness of the control system.
